PEMANFAATAN NASI AKING SEBAGAI BAHAN BAKU PEMBUATAN PLASTIK BIODEGRADABLE

Plastik biodegradable adalah plastik yang dapat terdegradasi oleh mikroorganisme dan terbuat dari bahan diperbarui, sehingga menjadi alternatif pengganti komersial. Tidak sedikit masyarakat menyisakan nasi membuangnya, limbah. Limbah sering dikenal sebagai aking memiliki kandungan 83,14% karbohidrat, 29,70% amilosa, 3,36% protein. Dengan adanya pati berupa amilosa amilopektin maka berpotensi digunakan baku pembuatan biodegradable. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui komposisi terbaik pada berdasarkan pengaruh variasi konsentrasi masing-masing filler kalsium karbonat (CaCO3) silikat (CaSiO4) yaitu 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% berat tepung, sedangkan plasticizer sorbitol tepung. Beberapa uji dilakukan kuat tarik, ketahanan air biodegradabilitas. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa biodegadabilitas telah sesuai dengan SNI 7188.7:2016 nilai tertinggi sebesar 66,22%. Sedangkan tarik water absorption tidak memenuhi SNI. Nilai 2,58 MPa, terendah 30,18%.
